Maxine and Brent!
My lord…the day was utterly PERFECT. Absolutely everything went to plan and how we discussed and I could not thank you and your team more. You guys are incredible and many people mentioned to me how fabulous and professional everything was. It was just EXACTLY WHAT WE ALWAYS WANTED AND MORE!! You guys went above and beyond for us, and the part I appreciate the most is your relaxed demeanour at all times. I wasn’t, but I know have the potential to be a bridezilla,had I been working with people who ‘didn’t get it,’ but you guys ‘got it’, nailed it, and relaxed me not only in the morning during set up (which I had set aside three hours for, and was done in 45m cause you guys are pros!) but throughout the whole lead-up, and of course the big day itself.
The room was STUNNING and we were so LUCKY to have the canopy and the marquee…ahhhh I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN! Superb job to everyone, and please thank the lovely lady in charge of the spirits bar…she had a BIG job to do, and did it WONDERFULLY, so patient and kind!!
Maxine, I don’t actually think I saw you at all…! So many people commented on the amazing food! They thought the entrée was the main and they were happy with that – then the main came!
Once again THANK YOU for making our dreams come true and accommodating our every wish and above all, dealing with my anal self!

Just a quick note to say thank you so much for Saturday - the day was perfect! We received so many comments from friends and family about how wonderful your staff were throughout the day - and particularly when wee Nick wasn't too well at the dinner table - the change over was flawless!!
The food was delicious - although I wasn't able to eat much (bride tummy!) again everyone raved about it.
So much to say about how great the whole day was!!!! So THANK YOU, and to all your staff for making our day perfect :)

Thank you so much for all your hard work on our wedding day and leading up to it. We had the best time and everything was PERFECT! You are so great at what you do, thinking of all the little things to make sure our wedding day was just how we wanted it. It was great knowing that even though we live Australia, you had everything under control in Wanaka for us.
The food - AMAZING! We often talk about going back to your "restaurant" - All our guests have been raving about it since. Also thank you for arranging our special late night treat - Cheese Rolls! Yum! Your staff were great, taking care of all the little things to make sure our guests were well looked after.
We would definitely recommend you to anyone looking to get married in Wanaka. Thank You for making our winter wedding perfect!

We had a wonderful time and everything went smoothly. It was such a fun night, which is the main thing!

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you and Brent and all your staff so much for doing such a wonderful job of our wedding reception. Right from setting it up how we wanted with the barrels and the beautiful hanging heart. You are all amazing to work with and having our interest at heart made it so much more special for us. The comments from so many of our guests is that the food at our reception (canapes and breakfast) was the best food they have had at a wedding and for the locals who have attended weddings at The Venue before said it was the best they had ever had. Reece and I are so very thankful for every thing you did, and the hams on the Sunday were just to die for.

Thank you so much for hosting our wedding on the 5th of March 2011. Every detail was carried out beyond our expectations the food was exceptional, service outstanding and all with a picturesque view of the Mountains and Lake.
We never needed to worry about any of the details as Maxine made it all so easy. The initial reason why we choose the Venue was because we wanted a one stop shop where we knew everything would be well organised and efficient with minimal input from us on the day, all our requests were meet and nothing was ever a problem, we would definitely recommend The Venue and their team of helpful staff. Honestly you were all superb so thank you so much we had a blast and so did our guests!

Brent and Maxine were the supernovas at the center of a stellar group of vendors that together made our wedding a truly amazing day. They are innovative, eager to help, well organized, entirely unflappable, and have a healthy Kiwi, "no worries/we'll figure it out" attitude. We barraged them with difficult requests -- including multiple sites for the ceremony and reception, a complicated lighting design, and a bespoke "Indian fusion" dinner menu, to name just a few -- and they delivered every time.
We owe some of our best memories to the work they and their staff did behind the scenes. To top it off, they are genuinely lovely people, who were a pleasure to get to know. We have no hesitation in recommending Brent and Maxine, and the entire Venue staff, to our friends (and indeed have done so already)

The Venue was amazing! From the outset Abbie & James spoke very highly of Brent and Maxine and had confidence in the Venue team throughout. They knew their stuff - every scenario had been experienced, everything was available and if not they would find a solution. On the wedding day they shone. They calmly presented everything that had been painstakingly planned and designed, the place looked a million dollars. The food was amazing, the staff were subtle and professional throughout the prep and presentation. Thanks so much for making our day so special. Letting go of the reins to Brent, Maxine and the crew is highly recommended, they really are wedding experts - Thank you!

Jamie and I would like to thank you for your efforts and the wonderful two days that you helped us with to make our wedding so special and memorable. We had an exceptional wedding and after party thanks to you two and your wonderful, wonderful staff.
I would particularly like to comment on your relaxed and accommodating style Maxine, nothing was a bother to you, always helpful, always guiding where need me. I plagued you regularly with e-mails seeking answers to the details that I required for the day, and always you replied with the answers and with consummate pleasure - you were amazing to work with - words could never express how valuable we found you and how you ensured stress free delivery.
The food was exquisite, it was everything we desired, and our guests commented on the waiting staff who delivered with ease and pleasantness, never were we rushed or pressured for time, they were amazing. We were completely overwhelmed by your team's desire to ensure that our elderly parents were well looked after - this meant ever so much to us, and it's the little touches like these that made our day so special.
The Venue look amazing for the day - we felt so proud of the romantic ambience that you and your team created, and a special thank you for ensuring that the candelabras were on stands for the day to surround our ceremony, they set the scene so beautifully.

Sherman and I would like to thank you for helping to organise our amazing wedding day. I can remember the first meeting when I was just starting to look for a venue and you were just lovely Maxine. You weren't pushy, but at the same time you sold your venue well. When I brought Sherman along and we met Brent as well we never looked back at the decision to go with "The Venue".
What we liked was the "can do" attitude and none of our requests or suggestions were too hard. Your experience showed through and logistically everything ran extremely smoothly.
The food looked incredible and tasted even better. We have had so many lovely comments about the food, especially the prawns and also the mojitos! We also had lovely comments about the high quality of the venue itself. But most of all we felt like we were dealing with people who cared about us and it was this personal element that really counted for us. It felt like you were genuinely excited for us that it was our wedding day and it didn't feel at all like a business transaction.

We would like to thank you for all the time and effort you both put in to making the wedding the great success it was.
Your input at the planning stages was invaluable and of course your organisation and hard work on the day resulted in a perfect reception on which everybody complimented favourably afterwards. The Venue proved an excellent location which catered for all requirements with its indoor/outdoor and dining/lounge/dancing facilities. There was a place for everybody to enjoy the afternoon and evening. Our guests all raved about the food in particular. Your flexibility in coping with us making a last minute decision, on where the ceremony was to be held, also contributed to what was a memorable day.
You should patent whatever rain dance you and Wayne (Johnson) did to influence the change in the weather which started the day off beautifully. We all had an amazing time and the contribution of 63B Catering and The Venue was a major factor in creating a wonderful wedding day for Joelle and Anthony.

The atmosphere is lovely and your staff are polite, have a sense of humour and treat everyone with refreshing respect.
The food was delicious, even my not – so - new age husband enjoyed the way the vegetables were prepared and cooked. The meat was cooked to perfection-not easy when doing it in bulk.
Thank you for contributing, to making it such a special evening for Benita and Blair, who are a wonderful couple and deserved a perfect day.

Our Wedding experience at The Venue Lake Wanaka was fantastic! What great people to deal with it, Maxine and Brent made our day so much more relaxed and nothing was a problem. We organised our wedding from Auckland which made things a little hard but just a call or an email and all would be sorted. Right from the start you made everything as stress free as possible especially choosing our menu which was particularly effortless with all the yummy options available to us. On the day everything was perfect - the food, staff and atmosphere. We had so many people come up to us the next day to say it was the best wedding they have been to. My only regret was we spent too long with the professional photos and not enough time enjoying the awesome canapés... Any leftovers from the buffet were also brought around to our BBQ the next day which was great for all the hangovers!

We had an amazing day, we want to do it all over again! We couldnt have asked for a more amazing day! The food was amazing and our guests are still talking about it when we see them, the cream brulee was to die for!! (thank you for doing our favourite desert mini size!!).
The day flowed amazingly from the service of the alcohol in the court yard to the seated main and then the tray served mini deserts out in the court yard later. We had some requests that we thought were probably not able to be done and you guys made them happen and it was never an issue. We cared about the small things and you made sure you did too. Any questions we had no matter how silly you never made us feel stupid and answered straight away. The service you provided was excellent and the Venue was an amazing place to have our wedding, things happened in the background and we didn't even know you were doing all that. We just enjoyed our day and our guests and you took care of everything.
We wouldnt hesitate to recommend you to anyone and couldnt suggest a better place to have a wedding. You and your staff were amazing and we can't thank you enough!
